eggwhite had a great time at arteBA, there were countless amazing exhibitions which showed that Argentina and the rest of Latin America is producing some great art at the moment.

One of our two favourites was a zine by Argentina’s Wilde Horses. Their idea is to do simple things well, it’s printed on simple paper and its aim is to be read by everyone. The zine includes illustration, photography, collage and texts. All their zines can be found at Purr Libros and Cobra Library, eggwhite hopes to be able to visit them locals very soon.
eggwhite‘s other favourite came from Chile; Cecilia Avendaño, whose work reminded us of the illustrator, Yoshitomo Nara. Not to say that Cecilia’s work is derivative, its beauty resides in its distortions of the human body, something eggwhite has been obsessing over ever since we saw Chris Cunningham‘s legendary Sony Playstation advert
