Canadian artist Drew Young works mainly with oils and collage on mahogany. His art is inspired by lost and found adolescence.
Young says “We are lost in our self-indulgent primal behaviour, forgoing the morals and values our parents have instilled in us. In these images we reflect on our own experiences of these dark visceral moments and places.”



Baltimore based artist Beth Hoeckel works mainly on collage, mixed media, and photography. She attended Carver Center for Arts magnet school and the Art Institute of Chicago.
Hoeckel says “I’ve been broke most of my life but experiencing the world is more important.”

Lucky‘s goal was to create new art work every day for the next 365 days. When she finally finished her project she said “I hope that you all are inspired to create something every day.”

The British artist Nick Gentry is well known for using recycled floppy disks as canvases and giving them a distinctive function in his portraits.






The Colombian artist Elena Landínez creates collage illustrations by recycling pieces of stamps, maps, photos among others. She also adds drawings and typography to her artwork which gives them an interesting and unique style.
Elena was commissioned to do illustrations for publishing house Villegas Editores who used them in their range of children books.
These illustrations were taken from the book “Alicia en el país de las delicias” based on Alice in Wonderland.




Chris Arran says “Illustration never stands still and fashion changes as does technology. It’s easy to get into a formulaic way of working and all of a sudden you can find that you no longer love doing what you do best or perhaps what you do goes out of fashion never to return. Constant experimentation enables you to become more flexible with your skill base and ways of seeing and expressing yourself so that your work constantly develops and remains relevant.”




Anne Quadflieg’s illustration series *Wooden Beings* mixes vector graphics and collage of bonding sheets in wood appearance. The way she mixes illustration with this appearance is very unique. She is currently living in Hamburg, Germany and has worked for many magazines and agencies. You can find out more here.
